First of all, let me apologise for using english to communicate...

I am planning to come to work in Kiev (where I also hope I will develop my language skills soon enough) and would like some information regarding the level of service and repair available for Rx-8s.

I have already received some valuable information from an upstanding member of your forum, but now, as I have to take the decision of whether or not to take my 4-year rx-8 with me, I would like some additional info.

So can anyone inform me about the availability of consumables (mainly oils) and spare parts for rx-8?

How about tuning? Are there any tuning houses that specialise in rx-8s? Is it easy to import the related tuning parts? Or is there a source within Ukraine?

Are there any technicians informed enough to perform engine rebuild / replacement? Also, would Mazda there honour the "new" 3+2 years warranty on rx-8 engines?

Sorry to bother you with so many boring questions (but be careful - if you answer there may be more... )

Мазда РХ-8 у нас не очень распространена, но на форуме есть владельцы таких авто. Можно обратиться к Юрию (Yury), у него есть РХ и он любитель тюнинга, наверное, самый опытный в Украинском Маздаклубе.


Насколько я знаю, Мазда в Украине не предоставляет гарантию больше, чем на 3 года.

Whom do you communicate with from Mazda Club?
Oils are really no problem, every official dealer has Dexelia for RX-8 on stock, always available.
Spare parts is little bit of problem - usually not available in Ukraine but can be ordered from States (if you are US origin should be no problem for you), in case you lack anything we have some guys who can assist and solve any part need you may have.


As per my info there's no specific tuning house for rotors, mostly custom amateurs, what's the car main purpose: drag, drift, street ?
Tuning parts should be imported directly from US like main parts due to minor presence of these cars in Ukraine

There is one well experienced man in rotor rebuild in Kiev, if need be you may contact me or "aries"
Warranty is really very limited but I own rx-7 so am not the best adviser here.

I have to say that news are not very encouraging but I am still thinking about it.
My 8 is EU-spec so probably I will have more difficulties than 8 owners there.

About tuning, I was interested only in mild mods but I can live without them.

Я планирую приехать на работу в Киев (где я также надеюсь, я буду развивать мои языковые навыки достаточно скоро), и хотел бы получить информацию об уровне обслуживания и ремонта для RX-8S.

Я уже получил некоторую полезную информацию из стоячий член вашего форума, но сейчас, как я уже принимать решение о том, следует ли считать мою 4-летнюю RX-8 со мной, я хотел бы получить дополнительную информацию.

Так может ли кто-нибудь сообщить мне о наличии расходных материалов (в основном, масла) и запасных частей для RX-8?

Как насчет тюнинга? Существуют ли какие-либо настройки домов, которые специализируются в RX-8S? Легко ли импорт соответствующих частей тюнинга? Или же есть источник внутри Украины?

Существуют ли какие-либо технических сообщил, чтобы выполнить восстановление двигателя / замена? Кроме того, там будут Mazda честь "новой" 3 +2 года гарантии на RX-8 двигателей?

If you have EU spec RX-8 there is no problem with official parts, as i know. Order comes in 3 weeks from Belgium - storage of Mazda Europe, where our official diller ordering all parts that they need. I think all you need here - good oil & petrol, some kind of suspension parts (i don't know where u from, but in Kiev roads are not so flat )

Also i don't know why are you asking about rotor engine repair? What kilometrage of your RX-8?

I am asking about engine repair because there has been a long dicussion about the extension of guarantee in the Rx-8 community in Greece where I come from and would like to know what is the situation now in UA.

If you use official dealer service most probably you would be offered to buy a new engine (according to info I know from RX-8s owners in Kiev), besides there can be no talks about any warranty for an abroad car. My suggestion (if you wanna get your engine repaired for a reasonable price) is to use a private rotor engineer service man in Kiev (contacts available upon request )

About warranty, I know for a fact that it is "pan-european", which means that Mazda should honour it all over Europe (and not only EU). My car is an example of this, because I bought it in Czech Republic and engine warranty is still valid in Greece. Hopefully I will not have to pm you on the engineer's services but it is good to know you have these contacts ;-)
